(COMPARE AND CONSTRAST ESSAY) CHRISTMAS BEFORE AND NOW.

Christmas is a time of the year that excites us all, wether we are children or adults. But it is also true that adults don't enjoy Cristmas as kids do. Because of that, I would like to compare how I lived Christmas when I was younger and how I do now.

I think that there are  things that don't change; for example, when I was a child I was, as now, enthusiastic about decorating my house with every type of Christmas item like Santas, Christmas trees, red candles, etc. I have always loved Christmas decorations and I am sure I will always love them!
Other thing that I used to love was walking on the street seeing all the Christmas lights , listening to carols in every shop I went,...  I also loved that this typical man in the shopping centres dressed as Santa Claus gave me a lot of sweets. Today, I still enjoying these things!

But not everything is now like few years ago: when I was younger, I saw Christmas as something magical, because Santa was comming to give me a lot of presents, but now, I think that Christmas is just a commercial thing.
Before, I only received presents and they were big, cool and expensive, different from now, that it's me who have to buy a lot of presents and, instead of receiving money, I spend it!

In conclusion, I can say that Christmas is not the same thing when you are a child and when you are adult, but, although that, it continues having its good things!

(VOLUNTARY TASK) MAYBE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF THESE GENIUSES...

I am almost sure that you don't know about the existance of five young boys from Murcia that have done a incredible work in the technology area, something that we will all use as an essencial item in few years.

The news is that this group of men have created a special kind of glasses with whom you can see the virtual and augmented reality. The applications are almost endless: from architecture to defense, through trade, tourism, journalism, video games and, especially, teaching. For now,  you can stroll by Mars thanks to real NASA images, simulate surgical operations or visit homes for sale like we were into them.
The basic device  will be available this Christmas for $ 79.99, just over 62 euros, and the more professional device,  that doubles its capacity, have been patented and begun to produce and show to agencies like NASA or the United States Department of Defense.

This five men's wonderful work means a breakthrough for the world of technology, in which Murcia will have an important role.
I consider that this information  should have appeared in television, in the radio, in all the social networks and  not only in a virtual newspaper, because I think that it means great news for the whole country  and it is a shame that almost nobody knows it and that the work of these youngs  has not been recognized.

(ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES) OF LIVING ABROAD.

Living and studying abroad has, like everything in the world, its advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages of living abroad, I think they coulld be that you have more liberty to go where you want and when you want without your parents to control you; you travel to an other country, so its good for you because you learn a lot about its culture, you also learn a new language, make new friends, etc.
The disadvantages could be that at first, you don't know anything about where you are, you don't know how to go to some places, maybe you aren't used to the food in this new country and you don't like it; it is also more expensive than living in your original country, you can't visit your family and friends very frequent, etc.
I think that going abroad is good to improve our knowledge and that it's a unique experience too, but I also believe that if I went living abroad the bad thing would be that I would miss a lot my family, friends and above all, my boyfriend.

(OPINION PARAGRAPH) ARE WE CONCIOUS ABOUT POLLUTION?

In my opinion, we aren't really concious about the big problem of pollution in our planet.

I think people just try to recycle a few days to feel good with themselves and after, they forget to do it because they don't really care about that.

 A lot of tons of garbage are dumped to the beaches, roads, forests, etc. and the majority of people doesn't act, just little groups of people go cleaning this areas but that is not enough.

From my point of wiew, each person should recycle or instead that, there should be a paid work for those people who clean the world.

(VOLUNTARY TASK) THE TIME

Time goes too fast. I have been refelxing of that because at first, I tought that it was a typicall thing that old people use to say when they realize that their lifes have almost passed, but, after thinking about it, I believe that it's true: unfortunately, time goes too fast!
I haven't got any scientifics evidences but I either need them. Time passes too fast, even when you're bad, and above all when you are having a good time. For example, I am sure that when you have been in a bad situation and then, when it has passed, you have said: "well, it hasn't been as long as it could!"; or when you're in a party, the secod time you look at the clock it's time to go home. And why? Because time goes too fast, so, don't waste your life and live the moment!
